M.C. Brennan's writing has earned the Arizona Commission on the Arts/Arizona Film Commission screenwriting fellowship, the Phoenix Film Festival's Best Screenplay award, and she was named a semifinalist in the 2006 Austin Film Festival screenwriting competition. She has several feature scripts including:
"The People's Choice", a dark comedy about a wild used car salesman on a psychobilly campaign for governor. "Raising Arizona" meets "The Candidate."
"Dramatis Personae", a scandalous comedy/drama about high school theatre actors in a forbidden romance, equal parts "Pretty In Pink," "Dangerous Liaisons" and "Hedwig And The Angry Inch."
"Mighty Like A Rose", in which a college girl discovers her birth father is a debauched, faded British rock and roll legend--in his own mind, anyway. A rock and roll Harold And Maude, only with much less octogenarian sex.
She is currently at work on a revolutionary zombie script that will almost certainly devour the plump, juicy brains of the genre, and a political satire/country music epic that's just about guaranteed to get her deported.
